“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”, which means ” God with us”. – Matthew 1:23
If there was ever a year when we needed to be reminded that God has come near, this is the year. The past several months have been marked by a health pandemic, societal struggles around race and politics. If you’re like me, you just want to be rescued from all of it. Well, there is good news – the story of Christmas is a rescue story after all. Of all the religions and worldviews in human history – this is what makes Christianity unique. God made the first move. From Genesis to the Gospels, God is moving towards people. He initiates reconciliation and relationship. The incarnation, when God took on human form in the person of Jesus Christ, is the beautiful story of God coming to rescue people from their sins.
During this Advent season we will explore, reflect and celebrate the many ways God rescues us. Subscribe to get the latest content delivered straight to your inbox.
